With variety the watchword this year, it doesn’t come as a surprise to see another unconventional Bollywood stuff hitting the screens. ‘Pyaar Mein Twist’ has the word ‘different’ attached to it - in terms of cast, story and humour. The film is a lighthearted story about two middle-aged couple who fall in love, in spite of their age and children. Directed by Hriday Shetty, it is produced by Percept Picture Company and Sahara One Motion Pictures production. Yesteryears glories Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia get together with today’s youngsters Sameer Dattani and Soha Ali Khan for the cast of the film. Jatin Lalit composes the music and Sameer pens the lyrics.

It’s nice to hear Jatin Lalit’s trademark melody with the first track ‘Pal Tham Gaya’. The somber and gratifying appeal of the track calls for instant attention. The track is a love duet in the voices of Abhijeet and Alka Yagnik. A lovely number at the initial album, which instigates in you the feeling to look forward for more.

Another track with the trademark style of the composers appear next. Babul Supriyo and Shreya Ghoshal at the helm of ‘Do Dil’ makes for another lovely outing. There is a feeling of romance and joy in the air and with the reasonable pace and melody, this one is a consecutive track that makes PMT an audible affair.

The clash of sexes comes up next with ‘Dhui Rappa - Ladki Chahe Jo Bole’. Such ched-chad numbers are currently in vogue and ‘Dhui Rappa’ in terms of entertainment is no less. A peppy number with some funky style music and done by Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan, you’ll enjoy it more and more as you keep listening.

The best of both worlds comes next. The hit retro track ‘Khullam Khulla Pyaar Karenge’ is presented in a new attire of remix, as the last track of the album.  The song is a pick from ‘Khel Khel Mein’ that also had Rishi Kapoor in the lead. There are two versions of remix - ‘Khullam Khulla (remixed)’ and ‘Khullam Khulla (Club remix)’. Gearing up for an exciting affair are Vinod Rathod, Babul Supriyo and even Rishi Kapoor. The remix retains the original fervor of the track, while the new pace and rhythm just steams it up a little more.

The journey through the album was petite but lovely. Most of the songs are a hearing pleasure, with youthful and romantic numbers. Infused with good melody throughout, the album is among the likeable one from the lot.
