Thej has a good musical taste and choice. He composes soothing music and mixes them really well. He has done a great job yet again in ‘Maanikyan’. The audio of this film is indeed filled with melody and variety.

K J Yesudas is at his best again in the number 'Sayam Sandyayil'. He sings this kind of tunes very well. This song is a soft and slow, simple yet a good one that would be great to listen to late at night.

M G Sreekumar is an energetic singer. But the tone of 'Chik Chik' is limited. The tunes of the song seem to be old.

'Navarathri Deepam' is a good number. Chitra has done a great job and her voice is so sweet. The accurate percussion beats have added beauty to the song. This number is a good one that would stay in your mind for a long period of time.

'Muttathe' is a slow and melodious song. It flows like a calm river. Nikil pours out his heart in this song and gives his best shot. This song indeed is very sweet and lovely.

Sujatha has done a wonderful job in 'Janmangalai'. She sings to the tunes of the song so comfortably and with ease. Her husky voice is so serine and beautiful. It’s nice to listen to such soft song.

'Ponnarachu' is the kind of song that the new generation would like. The rhythm of the song is peculiar yet inspiring. Afsal has sung this number very well.

On the whole, music director Thej has done a great job with a good mix of music. He must be proud of the good work he has done.
