Vidyasagar is a well-known name in South Indian film music. He has become very confident over the years and his music is the proof. He is good in both melody and mass numbers. That is why he stands out among the modern musicians. The music of ‘Chaandupottu’ has again showcase his talent as a musician.

'Omana Puzha' is a simple number with rural touch to it. The soft instrument of the song by Vidyasagar goes along with the song very well and Vineeth Srinivasan’s backing makes it even better. The singer does his job well in bringing about a beautiful melody.

Sujatha’s husky voice goes along well with this number 'Chanthu Kudanjoru'. The male voice by Shahaas Amaan also suits the tune of the song. The orchestration is restrained and the song itself is old-fashioned but it suits the situation in the film.

Janaki is becoming old and her voice is its witness. But the sweetness and melody is still there. She makes you nostalgic and remains you of her prime days in the song 'Aazhakkadalinte'. It is a simple and melodious number.

'Kaanapponnum' is an active and fun song, though its melody is a bit serious. The beat and rhythm of the song is very pleasant to the ears. It is a typical Konkanicoastal song.

'Thazhunna Sooryane' is also a soft number that catches your attention. It makes you retrospect and its theme penetrates through your heart and soul. The high-pitch voice of Rohini suits the song and makes it beautiful.

On the whole, Vidyasagar has shown that good music never goes unnoticed. He has indeed shown the importance of class in music.
