Music director Deepak Dev has done his job well by coming out with a good music for Mohanlal’s film ‘Naran’. He has indeed worked on the lines of the actor’s usual film music. The flavor of the music very much matches the actor.

Gayatri proved her worth by singing the song ‘Thumbikkinnaram’ beautifully. It is indeed a platform for her to showcase her talent. And veteran singer Yesudas gives her good company. The melodious background music also adds to the beauty of the song.

‘Velmuruka’ is indeed the lifeline of the album. The song is energetic with a hearty and heavy beat. The forceful voice of M G Sreekumar matches the song well. It has the combination of Punjabi and Malayalam rhythms.

There is nothing extra in the tunes of the song ‘Minnadi Minnadi’ but it is a typical number. Chitra has provided a new style and sweetness to the song yet again. The music of the song is soft and tender. Deepak Dev has given a good feel to it.

The thematic song ‘Naran’ has something special in it, as it should. The beat as well as the melody of the song is captivating. The singers have done a wonderful job coupled with good instrumental work.

‘Ponnarian’ is a song with a rural touch and forceful too. It is very earthly and natural. Yesudas’ job is an average one in this song.

Chitra has done it again by providing vigor and elegance to this song titled ‘Aadikkarin’. This soft number has everything that could captivate the listener. Deepak Dev also assisted her well by providing a sweet music.

Music director Deepak Dev deserves a round of applause for his great job. He has proved himself that he is capable of making good music.
