‘Super’ is a much awaited film of the superstar Nagarjuna. He is an innovative and path breaking actor who always tries to do something different over and over again with his films. Though he is a Telugu star, he doesn’t follow the routinous emotional sagas and action drama that take place here. Rather he tries to portray himself in films that are up to date with other films.  ‘Super’ is another one such effort by him. The film is stylish and is going to be a feast for the eyes.

After ‘Mass’, this is his impending release. ‘Super’ is supposedly one of the most modishly and styled film hitting the Tollywood screens. The film has Nag in the lead role and he along side also produces the film. Glam gals Ayesha Takia and Anushka Shetty have been imported from Bollywood to play the female leads in the film. They’re sure to be the head turners of the film.

The film is absolutely urban and modern and has been made in a well-groomed manner. Nonetheless it is a mega budget film and one of the most expensive films of the recent time. For the special effects Nag has endured never before thrills and he has brought in technicians from Australia to have his film the distinct look. The highlight of the film is his new sporty look and the extraordinary bikes that have been imported specially for this film. 

The film is directed by Puri Jagannath. Though the industry is abuzz with the news that the film is a remake of Yashraj Productions banner ‘Dhoom’ that was a major hit last year, both the producer and the director wave off such rumors.  Nag even clarifies that why would he make a remake though Yashraj banner have claimed that they’ve bought the remake rights from them.

The film has music by the talented Sandeep Chowtha and he has done an astounding job with the tunes. He has weaved melodious tunes but on the line of chic and universal beats. The attraction of the audio is the well-known Hotel California song.

Action is also another forte of the film. There are thrilling sequences and bike chases that steal the show. The film has been extensively shot in the locales of Mumbai, Mauritius and Goa.

The film is slated for a July release.
