After ‘Mass’, this is Nagarjuna’s impending release. ‘Super’ is supposedly one of the most modishly and styled film hitting the Tollywood screens. The film has Nag in the lead role and he along side also produces the film. Glam gals Ayesha Takia and Anushka Shetty have been imported from Bollywood to play the female leads. They’re sure to be the head turners onscreen. The film is directed by Puri Jagannath.
The film is absolutely urban and chic and has been made in a well-groomed manner. And nonetheless the music had to be on the same line and length as per it. This is the reason may be, Nag has brought in one of the most talented composer of Bollywood, Sandeep Chowtha. Though Sandeep has worked with many big names in Bollywood, yet his credibility has not been as much appreciated. Sandeep has weaved melodious tunes but on the line of attractive and universal beats to impress the X gen people.
The first track itself sets the tempo right for the album. ‘Akkad Bakkad’ is a smashing number that’ll surely pump more adrenaline to your body. The song brings the imagination of a crowded racetrack with charged atmosphere. Sandeep excels in transporting the screen in front of our eyes. Sonu Kakkar gives out a high-pitched rendition and suits the song from the word go. The liveliness and the perk is the strength of the track. Don’t search for melody in such tracks, as this won’t have much to offer. It’s a song meant for high charged energy to be released in a disc floor.
‘Chandramukhi’ also begins in a similar manner and has the same energy piling up for it. It’s tough to sort out what kind of song it is, but it is definitely another entertaining and enjoyable number like the first one. It is another rock styled track with heavy percussion and guitar work. But as a mark of difference Sandeep has played with some interludes in between to make it sound different. The song is crooned by Sandeep himself and though he doesn’t pass muster with the rendition, yet he appears fine.
Another track to look forward to is ‘Gichhi Gichhi’, a tempo filled number. Soumya charges the song with mirth and zeal and make it one more shaking number. Following is Udit Narayan who heightens the effect of the track. Though the tune is simple in this instance, yet the Gujarathi folk pulse make the track stand out.
Shake a leg with ‘Mastana’. This is what the message of the song hold. This is more on the line of western music and Sandeep Chowtha and Nikita at the mike just set the tempo right for the track. The song is quite pleasing and doesn’t sound too loud and noisy. Like all other songs so far, this also justifies the look of the film.
Anushka with her husky and delighting voice starts ‘Mila Mila’. The tune is complex but Anushka gives her best shot and surpasses the twists and turns with ease. The song is also exquisite with Arabian touch and feel at the initials. The tune is such resounding that it soon takes you in its captive. This number is definitely the pick of the day.
The album comes to a close with another song that the youth will definitely fall for. ‘Mudduletti’ is a loud and rocking number brought to you by Sonu Nigam and Sonu Kakkar. Their coalesce yield a remarkable result. Other than that the tune and orchestra of the song also stands out.
Sandeep Chowtha has built the songs beautifully with taste and sensibility and this is sure to hit the bull’s eye. Most of the songs are definite to be in the top slots of the charts. Nagarjuna has certainly made the right decision and the soundtrack proves that.
