The next step for a film craftsman is always direction. Time and again we’ve seen writers, cinematographers, critics turning their steps towards direction. The latest in buzz is Girish Dhamija, the dialogue writer with the Bhatts.  He dons this hat for the first time with Yakeen starring Arjun Rampal and Priyanka Chopra. The Asambhav pair re enters with this romantic thriller essaying the role of husband and wife and their relationship, which is on the brink of drowning. Sujit Kumar Singh produces the film under Shreya Creations banner. The story and the screenplay are executed by Vikram Bhatt. Himesh Reshammiya and Sameer do the music.

Nikhil Oberoi (Arjun Rampal) and Simar (Priyanka Chopra) are a happily married couple. Nikhil hails from a rich family and is an industrialist in Himachal. Simar is a beautiful and charming personality. Though everything in their marriage looks fine over the top, underneath they don’t share the rapport they ought to be.

Both meet a devastating accident with the car plunging down the hill and crashing. Nikhil gets injured and passes out in coma. Even the finest treatment doesn’t guarantee his stability.  Through a painful and grave situation he slowly and steadily recovers. His wife Simar is considerably fine with only minor cuts and bruises.

Simar now takes good care of her husband and they get close in the process and ignite the warmth in their relationship that was formerly missing. With adequate love and care Nikhil flings back to normalcy. Nikhil begins to appreciate his time with his wife and gets totally dependant on her. What starts bothering him is contrasting scene of his past. This leads to his bewilderment. He starts getting flashes that don’t tally with his present. Life goes haywire for him leading to mental strain. He even starts suspecting his wife’s sincerity.

He seeks a private investigator Nikhil’s help to solve his confusions and help him to get to the reality and truth. But the truths are bitter and his encounter with those doesn’t bring him any peace. He muddles more into confusion as the probe continues. Nikhil and Simar are again at the pedestal to where they belonged. With more twist and turns there life moves. What follows is a stunning climax that answers all the questions.
