Journalist turned filmmaker Khalid Mohammed has always bottom-lined his films on the complexity and intricacies of relationships. Fiza and Tehzeeb are factual to it. Though these films couldn’t create much spark on the box office but they were critically acclaimed. Treading on the same line and length is his next film Silsiilay. The film brings together a gallery of formidable stars like Tabu, Kay Kay Menon, Celina Jaitley, Bhumika Chawla, Rahul Bose, Divya Dutta, Riya Sen, Jimmy Shergill, Ashmit Patel, Natassha. Vashu Bhagnani produces the film.

The film is interwoven with the life of three women - Tabu, Ria Sen and Bhumika Chawla. In an act of solidarity all three of them come together.

Tabu is the wife of Kay Kay and is having difficulties in her marriage due to Celina Jaitley who happens to be the mistress of her husband. She is webbed between the whole unfaithful affair.

Bhumika Chawla flaunting a freaky look in the film is a Bollywood star who is climbing the stairs of name and fame. Her stair to success is a man with whom she has a live-in relationship, but she has decided to break-up with him soon. That poor soul is non other than Rahul Bose.

Riya Sen plays an office receptionist. She longs for a rich and loving guy and her hunt ends in Ashmit Patel. Jimmy Shergill her colleague loves her but has never expressed his feelings to her. Riya Sen is tuck between the two guys, as she has to opt for one.

Unlike Fiza and Tehzeeb, which had melodrama, this is an affirmative and entertaining presentation. Though drama and touching issues continues to dominate here too. With the wedge of talented cast and crew, hopefully we’ll be able to see a stunning affair on screen.
