Audio Review : Bhola In Bollywood - Belonging nowhere

Producer:Gazi
Director:Sumbul, Gazi
Cast:Siraj Khan, Bharati Sharma, Alok Nath
Music:Atamash
Singers:Sunidhi Chauhan,Sonu Nigam,Shaan,Jolly Mukherjee

Surely this isn’t the film you’ve heard before. Don’t be surprised if you’re unable to relate to the cast and crew of the film too. The film is produced by Gazi and is directed by Sumbul and Gazi. This zero publicity film has some debuting faces hitting the screen. But that isn’t going to help anything. Expectations turn kaput when we come across the inlay of the audio too. The music is composed by Atamash and the lyrics are by Wajeda Tabassum and Gazi. I’m already getting the feeling as if I’m in a strange land surrounded by strangers. As for now let’s try to familiarize with the soundtrack to get a better view.

The first track ‘Maine Hoton Pe’ is on average scale and passes muster. Sunidhi Chauhan does the crooning in a different manner. Shaan accompanies her. The lyrics of Wajeda Tabassum seem out of place. The song is as unimpressive as it can be.

On the accounts of Indian food and music is ‘Hindustani Khana Hindustani Gana’. The lyrics of Gazi talk about the Indian delicacies, culture and music. Sonu Nigam renders the song. An average song that has nothing special to mention about it.

Representing more about India, this time the life, is Shaan and Jolly Mukherjee’s number ‘Timepass’. The song is disgusting and there is not a single ingredient to look up to it. This fast number fails to accelerate. The lyrics are by Gazi.

Based on some Urdu words is ‘O Angusht Badan’ written by Wajeda Tabassum. This track by Sonu Nigam is the best in the album and at least belongs to the hearable category. It is a kind of relief in the album. Sonu Nigam does a good job.

‘Kis Kadar Khoobsurat’ is a romantic song in the vocals of Sonu Nigam again. The words are by Wajeda Tabassum and the song sounds well.

Sonu Nigam closes the album with ‘She is From Punjab’ a fast paced song. This is also a good track with Bhangra style music. The song is lively and the words of Gazi suits it fine.

The album has an opening that is disastrous though somewhere down the line the tracks pick up.  Though as a whole the album is not promising, some tracks are fine. The fate of the music is alike the film- surely to blend into the dark!
