On the eve of Vishu festival on 14th April, along with the strings of film that will get released, director Johnny Antony’s ‘Kochi Rajavu’ is one. The film brings back the hit pair Dileep and Kavya Madhavan who do their 11th film together with this. Johnny Antony and Dileep come together for the second time after the super hit ‘CID Moosa’. The film is produced by R Mohan under the banner of Amit Productions. The other lead female cast includes Rambha. Others in the cast include national award winner Murali, Vijayaraghavan, Harisri Asokan, Indrans, Mohan Jose and Riyaz Khan.

This entertainer is a topical romantic story written by Udayan and Sibi, the all time favourite writers of Dileep. Dileep plays the character Suryanarayana Varma, an auto rickshaw driver in the film. Jagathy Sreekumar plays a cunning grandfather who supports him. Kavya Madhavan appears as a medical student who is very daring. The film is said to be a comedy entertainer and is expected to be enjoyed theoroughly by youngsters and family audience.

The story goes that Suryanarayana Varma belongs to a royal family who ruled Kochi. The authority of kingship will be passed to him if they’re not passed to the elected representatives. Karimbakal family has a ploy to kill him and his grandfather Moolam Thirunal Easwara Varma knows this. So for the security, there are martial art experts to guard against the odds. Suryanarayana is sent to Chennai Law College so that he doesn’t succumb to the problems. There he meets Meenakshi (Rambha) the daughter of a goon and falls in love with her. The musical score for the film is by Vidyasagar and he has tuned five melodious tracks for the film. The camera is handled by cinematographer Salu George. The stunts are by Mafia Sasi.
