‘Jogi’ soon after its release is creating waves and ripples in the music market. The film is from the kitty of Prem the maker of the huge hits ‘Kariya’ and ‘Excuse Me’. Guru Kiran the most happening music director composes the scores. The album seems to be entirely different from the ongoing scenario of music. It is sure to be laced with rave reviews and be on the hallmark of Kannada music for long.
Guru Kiran has picked the tunes to soothe the ears. He also introduces some new talents to the music industry and along side showcases some veteran names in the album. He has extracted the best from them. Even the use of instruments speaks of his talents. With variety and diversity he reaches for the pinnacle with this album.
‘Beduvenu Varavanu’ is equivalent of a stroll in the park. Prem in his soft hue touched voice do the crooning. The song is slow and sheer. In a fluid tone the music and the rendition get over you. Instruments like flute and tabla frontline the orchestration. The lyrics are at the helm. It’s a beautiful track strummed with quality instruments, lyrics and vocal.
‘Bin Laden’ walks away with applause in the voice of Guru Kiran and Sonu Kakkar for belonging to a novel genre. The singers waltzes across the octaves with the ease. With oud at the milieu of the song, the effect is just brilliant. The lyrics are different and funny but interesting.
Hari Haran, Sunidi Chowhan and B.Jayshree promise a whale of a time to the listeners with ‘Chikku Bukku Railu’. Again some different instrument catches your ear as the sitar strings on. There is verve in the track jilted well by the music and the vocals. The virtuosity of flute takes over in ‘Yelo Jogappa’. Shankar Mahadevan and Sunitha.S give their best shot to the track. The music and the lyrics within its essential matrix go superlative. The fusion stands out. In the already good album this calls for the best. Frontline ensemble of singing talent like Prem,Guru Kiran,Vijay Yesudas, Gururaj Hoskote, Murali Mohan croon out ‘Hodimaga Hodimaga’. Must confront that they all are good with their respective voices. Evoking different style they make the track sound one of a kind. A caboodle of instruments also makes it a pleasant hearing. 'Yelumale Meleri' wielded by SPB is also no less than a fresh dab. The song passes muster in his vocals. Combined with superb music and wonderful lyrics the track allures in all regards. Belting out vigorous and melodic tunes, Guru Kiran steals the show. All the song will make you go gaga over them. Its worth a trip to the neighbourhood superstore to get the audio before the stocks run out!
