R.R. Movie Makers new film is titled ‘Hungama’ with Ali and Venu Madhav in the male lead and Amuktha Malyada, Jyothi and Abhinaya Sri in the female. S.V.Krishna Reddy has directed the movie as well as the story, screenplay and music is by him. V.Suresh Reddy produces the film under Venkat production

SV Krishna Reddy had launched Ali 10 years back in Yamaleela. They have comeback together again for this film. Venu Madhav was also a discovery of SV Krishna Reddy and they’ve worked together in Sampradayam. Jyothi has also worked with him previously for Pellam Oorelite.

Chinababu (Tanikella Bharani) and Pedababu (Kota) are half brothers. They are born out of the same father but different mothers. Chinababu is a legal son whereas Pedababu is the son of the maid of the house. There is a rift between the two siblings. Both the brothers have two daughters. Divya (Jyothi) is Chinababu’s daughter and Madhu (Abhinayasri) is Pedababu’s daughter. The guys who come for their daughter’s hand are looked upon but again the guys going to the opposite party are thought to be of a useless kind.

One day Sitapathi (Sunil) and his parents come to ask for Chinababu’s daughter. But he insults him. Sitapathi plays a trick on Chinababu by referring two thugs Balu (Venu) and Badri (Ali) as the heirs of the Raja of Bobbili. Impressed by this, both brothers get their daughters married off with the crooks. Balu marries Madhu and Badri marries Divya.

Now the real heir of the Raja of Bobbili emerges. Tyagaraju tells Balu that he wanted to marry Sita (Amuktamalyada) and loved her. Balu again takes hold of this cleverness. Hereby leads chaos and confusion. The couples and the heirs of the Raja of Bobbili reach Bobbili. Brahmam (Brahmanandam) smells something fishy. The story ends with Sita’s brother Hari Babu appearing on screen.

The narrative isn’t half as interesting as it ought to be of a film of this genre. Venu Madhav and Ali are integral part of the film at the initials but later the story moves away from them. Instead of being a hilarious affair, this film turns out to be a dull one.

The music by S.V. Krishna Reddy is good. The songs have been executed well and the locales are splendid.

Performance wise the actors have done a commendable job. Ali and Venu Madhav along with the female casts excel. Other artistes have also done their part well.

After ‘Vinodam’ and ‘Eagire Paavurama’ expectations were high from S.V. Krishna Reddy. But this film reaches nowhere near them. As a comedy film this is a petty affair.
