Rafi-Mecartin and Dileep are ardent believer of the fact that a film should be a roller coaster ride of laughter. Films like ‘Punjabi House’ and ‘Tenkasipattanam’ keep their belief alive. On the same track they have made another hilarious family entertainer ‘Pandipada’. The film is hilarious from the word go and doesn’t dry out till the last drop. Like their success of the former two films, this film is also on the way to glory.
The film is racy and doesn’t droop down even for a second. The narration holds mirth and punch and keeps going. Directors Rafi Mecartin has once again done and proved their potentials. Though the film is a comedy, novel ideas and new themes makes it appeal more.
Bhuvanachandran (Dileep) is a small real estate agent in Kochi. Due to his unscrupulous deals he always end into trouble. Bhuvan has big dreams in his eyes and is always looking forward to opportunities to fulfill them. In this thirst, once he falls in trap and gets cheated by a Tamilian who sells his 30 acres of disputed land to him. Bhuvan with borrowed money from Ummachan (Cochin Haneefa) buys the piece of land at a cheap price and aspires to sell it at high rates later. He soon realizes the problem he has landed himself to. The disputed property belongs to two brutal military leaders Karuppusamy (Rajan.P.Dev) and Pandidorai (Prakash Raj). They’ve vowed to kill the person who buys it as it provides water to the whole village.
Bhuvan then erect a plan with his partner Bhasi (Harisree Asokan) to take the land under his captive. Bhuvan poses as a con and enters Pandidorai’s house and soon wins over his and his mother’s (Sukumari) heart. Here he meets Meena (Navya Nair) Karuppusamy’s only daughter and the girl falls in love with him. Instead of making things smoother he gets into something again. But Pandidorai loves Meena and Bhuvan set things right for everybody. How he succeeds in his attempt find out watching this laughing piece. Dileep tickles your stomach and leaves you out of breathe laughing. His comic one-liners and wit with Harisri Asokan, Salim Kumar and Cochin Haneefa gives you unstoppable laughter. Prakash Raj also contributes to the mirth in a big way. He is outstanding and his comic timing is superb. Navya Nair and others in the cast are apt.
Songs by Suresh Peters goes very well with the theme of the film. The film is a must watch and drown yourself in a laughing spree.
