Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye has many first timers debuting with it. Shemaroo a synonymous name with Indian Home Video Entertainment since the last two decades, are venturing into production with this film. Samar Khan the noted film journalist turns director with this film. And last but not the least are the new faces Shravan and Mahima Mehta. The oldies associated being Arshad Warsi, Mahima Chaudhary, Pravin Dabas, Sachin Khedekar and has Shahrukh Khan in a special appearance.
The film presents an episodic story of love, emotions and relations. These three elements get lost in the transitoriness of time and the film is an effort to make people realise the worth of relationships before the time to amend is gone. The backdrop is a forlorn small town airport where the passengers are waiting to board flight TW 135. Time comes to a still as they eagerly wait for the delayed flight to arrive. The passengers who are otherwise busy with their life, gets a chance to scrutinize their relationship and mend the woes. The list comprises teenage bloopers, a bachelor, newly weds making to their honeymoon, couples and divorcee. All have a story to tell weaving happiness and emotion that is common in everyone’s life. The underlying thread of the tunes is love and romance that knows no age and boundary. At the end their luck and live do go for a change.
The characters are crazy but the airport manager Arshad Warsi is crazier. He is a drunken dude with a weird sense of wit and humour creating mayhem most of the time. This is a light film with the intention of giving out a message through the medium of humour. The film is slated to release on 15 April 2005.
