‘Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaaye’ is the first production venture of Shemaroo into movie making. It is also the first directorial venture of Samar Khan, the film journalist. In the lead are Arshad Warsi and Mahima Chaudhary along with Dabas, Sandhya Mridul, Kanwaljeet Singh and Jaspal Bhatti. The film carries a light and cheerful look and Himesh Reshammiya has been handed with the responsibility to carry music on that line and length. Sameer accompanies him in the lyrics department.

As the film figures out relationships, Himesh tunes the first track ‘Bhool Jayenge Hum’ on a romantic alignment. Doing justice to the track is Udit Narayan with his fresh sounding vocals. The female voice is of Shreya Ghoshal. The track goes out to be a warm love song, adding feather to the cap of the composer, who has managed the song really well on his shoulders.

The title track follows as ‘Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye’ on a frontline of light and lovely tune. Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal and Jayesh Gandhi take their turn of wielding the mike with ease and effectiveness. From the music to the notes, lyrics and the renditions, everything falls in place in the number making it a pleasant listening.

Arpita Mukherjee the finalist of the live show SaReGaMa, gets her break with ‘Kuch Meetha Ho Jaayega’. She proves that the platform that the show has provided her, is really her due and takes her journey from there. Her talent is proved with the sweetness of her voice. Here she arrives!

The romance and pleasure trip takes a halt with ‘O Jaanu Tenu’. This is a jazzy and groovy track by Kunal Ganjawala and Sunidhi Chauhan and they chime well along with this loud and lively music.

The variety of the last track was welcoming! Romance again fills the air with Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik taking their turn for ‘Lagne Lage Ho’. This mushy track adds worth and charm to the soundtrack.

‘Aane Do’ the closing track is from the closet of Dr. Shoma Ghosh. This is a very exquisite number with the base of Thumri, neatly composed music and nicely written words. The song is wonderful and simply unique. There is also a remix of the same track as ‘Royal Stag Mega Mix’ meant for a gyrating time for the swingers. This is also nonetheless a good track that has already caught the attention of the masses.

Himesh Reshammiya proves his worth again with this soundtrack. A romantic album of sorts with the tracks that are entertaining and fresh. For every reason, this album is worth a listen!
