My Brother Nikhil is directed by Onir. The film casts Sanjay Suri, Juhi Chawla, and Victor Banerjee in the lead role. Juhi Chawla and Sanjay Suri have paired together in Jhankar Beats and appear together again here, but as siblings. The film is produced by Sanjay Suri, Vicky Tejwani, Onir and Raj Kaushal under Four Front Films banner and is presented by Yash Raj Films. The music for this sensitive emotional saga is by Viveck Philip while Amitabh Varma has written the lyrics.
As per the backdrop of the story, the music also hints on an emotional note. Topping the soundtrack is ‘Le Chale’ a fine track. This is one fantastic composition with basic instruments and the right voice. Shaan fits the bill and does a wonderful crooning. The emotion rendered by his vocals is splendid and this soft pop number is a beauty. The lyrics serve as the backbone of the track. There is another version of the same song sung by the rocking voice of KK. Third time the song appears in the vocals of Sunidhi Chauhan. All three of them render this soft, heart-melting song in a warm way. The track further has an ‘Instrumental’ and a small English version. All of them serve you heartily.
Another subsequent soft track to appear is ‘Kabhi Main Naa Chaoon’. The music is simple and striking. The lyrics are just perfect. This track doesn’t take long to transform you into a romantic disposition.
‘Chodo Na Mujhe’ makes it repeat after featuring in the sound track of ‘Rules - Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula’. But here it appears comparatively slower than the original composition of Sandesh Shandilya. Just cherish this track. Another repeated song is ‘Aa Bhi Jaa’ from ‘Sur’. These two beautiful and absolute tracks make the voyage more pleasant.
One more direct pick is a soft pop song ‘Sapno Mein Aake’ by Sunidhi Chauhan from ‘Shaadi Ka Laddoo’. ‘Aaja Mere Dildaar’ another track from the closet of Sunidhi Chauhan makes a pleasant hearing but only in the soundtrack and add variety. In regard to the film and its theme this song doesn’t fit fine.
‘Mere Sapne’ the uncherished but a touching sentimental track from ‘Mitr - My Friend’ sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy sums up the soundtrack. The track is soft and likeable and catches on you at the first hearing.
With the simple and likeable music that we’ve encountered so far, this album obviously is going to make its mark felt. Though the originals are limited yet good picks suiting the theme of the film, makes it a pleasant hearing. Let melody conquer and emotions touch your heart with this beautiful album.
