Chakram is produced by Siva Raju and Venkat Raju under the banner Geeta Chitra and directed by Krishna Vamsi. In the lead are Prabhas, Charmy and Asin. The film is in its postproduction and is expecting a release in the month of March.

Krishna Vamsi is undoubtedly a creative and potential director. But his credibility is in question after the flop of Sri Anjaneyam. Seems his current audience is not in much awe of him. His films have done well with older people, but his ideas don’t seem to merge perfectly with the viewers of this age. Chakram looks to sever this opinion.

The film is novel in all aspect and thus should go down with everybody, the director divulges. Its inspired from a small poem penned sometime ago by Sri Vennela. Elements of patriotism, love, humanity, values threads the tunes of the film. Prabhas plays the lead protagonist and the film revolves around him. He has been fairing well in his career graph and films like Varsham and Adavi Ramudu illustrate it, but he still needs to place himself on the top.  For this film, as per the character he has given credible performance. Asin and Charmy play the female lead. With this film they need to place themselves in a strong pedestal of their career. Asin though being a Malayalam girl, has dubbed her own voice for the film.

Much of the details about the movie are not known due to the tight-lipped director and the producers. The news is that the film is expecting a release on the 25th of March. With the music by Chakri becoming a hit, a lot more can be expected from the movie.
