Harry Baweja is in fine form and best of the spirits as he is set to release two films in a row at the advent of the year. He has a distinct taste of filmmaking and this is the reason none of his films overlap one another.  Diversity is his watchword with terrorism in Diljale, love in Deewane, action in Qayamat and boldness in Girlfriend. For the year 2005, he is planning to have a blast with Main Aisa Hi Hoon and the movie in question Karam.

The stars of the film are John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra, paired on screen for the first time.  The duo is going through a gleaming phase of their career. The direction baton is in the hands of the cinematographer of Kaante. There is Bharat Dhabolkar from theatre and Advertising making into films for the first time. So at the very initials it is evident that Harry Baweja is a bit experimental regarding the cast and crew of the movie.

The movie is an action packed drama. The story is about John (John Abraham) and Shalini (Priyanka Chopra) a happily married couple. John works for Captain (Bharat Dhabolkar) as an assassin. He brutally murders people on one word of his cold-blooded master. John is entrusted with a particular mission to kill a whole family. And here he undergoes a transformation. The eyes of a child as she succumbs to death make him realise his mistake. He decides to quit his profession and lead a different life with his wife. But his fate wishes otherwise. Yunus (Vishwajeet Pradhan) a rival of Captain threatens to kill him and he is attacked. Captain gets so violent that he takes up the task to destroy the eminent figures of the city. But he cannot achieve his mission until and unless he gets John for the job. However John is reluctant, as he has vowed never to tread the path of destruction again.

Captain seizes his wife and gives him the option to kill the five top personalities within 36 hours. Thus John tries to fight against the odds to get his peace and wife back. But the path is not easy as he faces enemies, police and a tormenting time. He sets out to a dangerous race, the end of which is tough to predict.

Vishal-Shekhar has composed the music. The thriller will probably release by the end of February 2005.
