Achuvinte Amma is a women centric movie by Satyan Anthikkad to be produced by P.V.Gangadharan. Satyan has insisted former heroine Urvasi to return in the film circuit after a break of eight years. In Achuvinte Amma she plays Meera Jasmine’s mother. There are a lot of emotional sequences as the story particularly deals with the mother-daughter relationship. This family entertainer also casts Sunil, KPAC Lalitha, Oduvil and Innocent.

The story revolves round Vanaja (Urvasi) a LIC agent whose world comprise of her only daughter Aswathy (Meera Jasmine). The mother and daughter have a very unconventional relationship, as they seem very much alike with an age difference of just 16 years. Jijo (Sunil) plays a police officer who falls in love with Aswathy. Thus follows a lot of twists and turns in the relationships.

Ranjan Pramod has done the script. Satyan Anthikad has tried to do justice with the story by directing it on a lighter note. He has stressed on the female dominance in this film also. The camera is by Azhagappan. Ilayaraja has composed the tunes and Girish Puthenchery has dealt with the lyrics. It is to be released on Republic day, January 26.
