The NRI businessperson G R Ravindra’s gets into his first film production with Thaka Dhimi Tha. The movie will be released in both Tamil and Telugu. The lead pair Yuvakrishna and Ankitha are also newcomers. The movie belongs to the genre of comedy with a touch of earthy humor. Sundar C, the director who has not been able to deliver his best with Winner is hopeful with this film.

The music is by Imman. This is his second collaboration with Sundar C after Giri. He has come out with nine numbers for the movie with youthful energy over them. There are many new singers stepping into the world of music with this album. As the movie will be released in both Tamil and Telugu, Imman has taken special care in the making of the music so that it suits both the taste.

The first track ‘Kathalai Yaaradi’ takes off in the soft voice of Hariharan and Mathangi. The dual voices renders with ease. The song is a honey dipped romantic track with somber orchestra and simple lyrics. The song goes to be a fine one.

The second song picks pace with ‘Sulukki Sulukkedukkum’ a folksy track. Malathi and Devan are at the foray of such tracks and they render this perfectly. The song appears shrill with heavy beats at the base.

‘Idhu Kalloori’ gets diluted into your soul and the subtle voice of Harish Raghavendra just adds to the charm. The track goes on to be a fantastic one as a whole.

The next track also follows the path of folk base. New singers like Vasu, ‘Solar’ Sai, Prasanna Rao and T S Ranganathana render ‘Rama Ippo’. Momentum is picked throughout the track with heavy percussion and non-stop rhythm.

‘Hoodibaba’ also introduces new talents like Franco and Premji. The retro tunes and the nominal Tamil words make it a different mixture. The song goes along to be fine too.

If your ears have started bombing by now, check out the track ‘Imsaiye’ by Srinivas. The stunning voice and the deft orchestra makes it an exquisite number.

Something of a western kind catches you attention. This is the title track ‘Thakathimitha’. The verve in the track has been infused well by the voices of Suchitra and Mahesh Vinayakaram and the western folk influence.  The track is appreciable in all aspect.
Fast tracks fill the album. ‘Rayalseema Rani’ also treads the same path. Karthik wields the mike on a high tone and pace along with Anitha Udeep. The outcome is fine and praiseworthy.

Imman gets along with Anuradha Sriram for ‘Etha Oothi Senjeno’. Anuradha appears tight in her rendition and deals with the track effectively. Imman is okay. This foot-tapping track will find a mass appeal in the discotheques and parties.

The tracks are going to be a youngsters delight filled with verve and punch. Though it’s not a musical in any respect yet the tracks pulls itself fine. Imman does the needful and comes out gleaming.
