Director: Harry Baweja Music: Himesh Reshammiya Lyrics: Sameer Singers: Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Baby Aparna, Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Jayesh Gandhi
Under Pammi Baweja production, Harry Baweja’s forthcoming release is Main Aisa Hi Hoon. He has again preferred his confidante Ajay Devgan to play the lead role. The duo has been committed to make good cinema and surmount it to a hit. And that’s the reason that since the last 11 years they are bonded together. Ajay Devgan is an epitome of talent and has done range of roles in his career. With Main Aisa Hi Hoon he is again going to make waves with his role of a mentally challenged person. Other than the protagonist, the film casts Esha Deol, Sushmita Sen and child artist Rucha Vaidya.
Music finds its own way in Harry Baweja’s movie. His earlier releases Dilwale, Diljale, Deewane or Qayamat has established the fact. Even his unfathomable style of interloping dialogues before the beginning of the tracks is remarkable. It’s a privilege for a music director to work with him. For Main Aisa Hi Hoon he has bagged on Himesh Reshammiya and Sameer to do the needful.
Tried and tested formulas works. And that’s why Himesh Reshammiya has repeated the profundity, in the vocals of cherished Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik together for ‘Deewanapan Deewaange’. The ambience of the harmonized rendition, beats and music is a self-congratulatory flourish for the music director. An enthusiastic start to follow the rest of the tracks.
'Just Walk Into My Life' builds up the cadence rendered with ravishing vocals by Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan. The song is a stamped Himesh Reshammiya track. Though it fails to trigger the impression of the first track, it passes with subtlety. The English words just mark the initials, with Hindi following in the rest of the song. Another compressed version of the same song appears in the version of Shaan as ‘Adlip’.
‘Papa Mere Papa’ is a situational track by Baby Aparna, Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal. The emotional element and the merge of melody make it quintessential track. The approach and appeal brings in glimpses of the tracks ranging in movies of yesteryears. The track again repeats as 'Papa Mere Papa - Part I' by Shreya Ghoshal excellently.
The musical expedition so far, takes a better swing with ‘Teri Galiyon Se’. Jayesh Gandhi with Sunidhi Chauhan renders with poise this upbeat track, crossing the conventional borders of zest and zeal. The sumptuous sensual love song with the immigration of pop into it makes the track highly charged and likable one. It comes as a breath of fresh air in a totally new sound.
Throughout this satisfying album enters 'Raat Hai Soyi Soyi' with more distinct feel of melody. It’s a lullaby, something that was evident in Swades too. The melody is subtle and blessed not giving any rise to unrest. Sonu Nigam’s proficiency deserves appraisal along side Sameer and Himesh's insight into melody picturesque. There is an ‘Adlip’ in a repeated small version by Sonu.
Himesh again gets down to his skin and composes ‘Dil Mera Todo Naa’. It is the kind of supple and silhouetted melody for which Udit Narayan vocals with ease and effectiveness as the first one. This last song of the album wears a tidy and tempestuous look.
Himesh Reshammiya has inched towards improvisation without getting into areas of discomforting innovation. The soundtrack is good in itself and will rise the graph with grace. The quality of endurance is predicted.
