No points for guessing that the film circumvents around cricket. The title Sachin is itself evident of that. The film casts Vijay, Harini and the stunning Bipasha Basu. Kalaipuli S. Dhanu is producing it under V Creations banner. John, son of veteran director Mahendran does the story, screenplay, dialogue and direction. He has formerly tried his hands on Telugu films. With Sachin he is ready to enter the Tamil film scenario too. He has been associated with ace directors like Robert Rajasekharan, Krishna Vamsi, Maniratnam and Ram Gopal Varma. This raises our expectation for a talented and refreshing stuff from him.

Vijay is a college goer. He takes life very lightly and lives every moment. He follows his own strategy of following life as he wishes and sets the same principal for everybody. But he is careful not to harm and hurt anybody in his process of fun. Bipasha Basu appears in a significant and prolific role. Vadivelu does the comedy.

Devi Sri Prasad has given the music. The choreography is by Raju Sundaram. The film is to be released during the Tamil New Year.
