After the success of Tirupachi, Devi Sri Prasad and Vijay team up again for another treat. Seems it’s a kind of mascot for the actor and the composer to be paired together!  Devi Sri Prasad proves his mettle once again with the soundtrack of Sachein. The composition promises a whale of time for the youngsters. The fast-paced tracks will give them the reason for non-stop party. There are five tracks in the album. The lyrics are penned by Pa Vijay, Na Muthukumar, Pazhani Bharathy, Kapilan and Ilango.

A quirky track with fun-filled music starts the album. ‘Va Va Va En’ by Shankar Mahadevan is just the right thing. Punjabi bhangra has been merged with this funky track within its essential matrix. The lucidity of the track is presented aptly in the voice of Shankar Mahadevan. He belts the song with ease and effectiveness.

The composer takes his turn of singing with ‘Kanmoodi Thirakkumbodhu’. The song beams in melody from start to end. It gives a break from the typical format of peppy numbers dominating the soundtracks of a Vijay starrer. The change is very warm and welcoming.

The virtuosity of the voices of Jassie Gift and Malathi gives out the notion that the track is going to be tempo filled one. ‘Gundu Manga Thoppukkulle’ rightly belongs to that fervor.  The tune and the rhythm is aplomb with heavy and folksy style. The song jilted by the singers’ fits the bill and it turns out to be an ideal foot tapping number.

‘Dai Dai Dai Kattikkoda’ also catches on to the underlying thread of the tunes prevalent so far in the album. The only aspect it differs from the rest is that it’s of a romantic genre. Sunitha Sarathy stands out for the bliss in her voice through the Western-style rendering. She is assisted by Karthik who gives out an equally commendable performance. The pale lyrics though mar the fate of the song.

Belting out a perfect tune is Vijay who takes up the mike after a long lull. ‘Vaadi Vaadi Kai Padatha’ is another punchy and tempo filled track but with a local touch. The song turns up to be wholesome for the soundtrack as well for Vijay’s fans.

The audio is rocking and rollicking strumming with a couple of fine numbers. Just have a ball!
