The romantic title itself gives the glimpse of how romantic the film will be. As such, a romantic movie will definitely have romantic scores. And who is better in romantic melody than the dependable duo Jatin Lalit. Sameer has penned the lyrics. Chand Sa Roshan Chehra is a movie by Salim and is to be directed by Shahab Shamsi. Salim was a co-star of Rani Mukherjee in Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat. He had produced some medium budget movies in the long run. With this movie he launches his nephew Samir Aftab and Tamanna.
The first track ‘Aage Aage Chahat Chali’ boosts with melody. Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik and Sunidhi Chauhan inaugurate the distinctive melodious composition. Udit Narayan is the lead male singer in all the tracks. The lyrics are apt, the composition synchronized and the vocalists give out there best. The melody of the track appears to be good and will definitely grow as you listen.
‘Doli Leke Aaya Hain’ is a fun number dedicated to the exclusive and youthful pleasures in the voices of Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. This one's also a perfect teamwork. The track sounds pleasant to the ears. The sad version of the song follows with Udit Narayan and also an incisive ‘Instrumental’ follows thereafter.
The flat lyrics of ‘Jadugar Jadugar’ ruin the song. Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik sound mediocre. Even Jatin Lalit seems out of place. The chemistry doesn’t work and it fails to create delight.
Udit Narayan’s penetrating vocals in ‘Pehli Nazar Ka Wo Pyar’ provide a lot of diversity and uniqueness to the track while Sunidhi Chauhan sounds entertaining as usual. Evenly paced tune with danceable beats is quite appealing to the ears. Pertinent usage of state-of-the-art musical instruments with splitting vocals diligently serves the purpose.
You don’t get a chance to leave the side of dwindling melody as ‘Wo Din Yaad Karlo Sanam’ emerges. The resentfully sad track by Udit Narayan carries quality and poignancy.
The album concludes peacefully with a sinuous composition ‘Resham Se Bhi Najuk Najuk’. Udit Narayan continues with the same momentum. Composed singing and a charming melody are a few essences of this number. An ‘Instrumental’ also surfaces.
Jatin Lalit has attempted to present the music that boasts of melody. They sure have loads of musical gems in store that are yet to be explored. The hummable and melodious tracks bears originality. It’s a good label for the movie and for the debutant stars as well. As for you submerge in the spell of melody.
