Debutant director K. Subhash sets his feet in Tinsel town with Insan. The star cast reads Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor, Lara Dutta. With more or less the similar cast of Khakee, Keshu Ramsay tries to make another action thriller very much similar to his former film Khakee.

Amjad (Akshay Kumar) is a Muslim auto-rickshaw driver. He loves Heena (Esha Deol) without the consent of her parents, Archana Puran Singh and Sharat Saxena. The reason behind their objection is that he is not well to do. Ajit Rathod (Ajay Devgan) is a CID officer who has lost his wife (Koena Mitra) recently and feels unhappy without her. She was being murdered by Rahul Dev, a terrorist. Ajit’s only goal in life is to track the criminal and give him his due. There are Avinash (Tusshar Kapoor) and Indu (Laila) who are strugglers in the film industry and they fall for each other.

When Amjad and Ajit meet for the first time, everything doesn’t go very fine between them. But gradually they take up a liking for each other as they gain sympathy for one another in the process. Amjad helps Ajit to track the criminal who has killed his wife. Ajit meets Meghna (Lara Dutta), a brave journalist, who comforts him and tries to evade his former memories. Amjad even triumphs in winning the heart of his in-laws and in the end marries Heena.

The film is expecting a release on January 14, 2005.
