Ek Rishtaa, Talaash or Jaanwar - all brew with the name of Suneel Darshan and Akshay Kumar on it. Sticking to his basics the filmmaker again opts for his favourite for his forthcoming film ‘Mere Jeevan Saathi’. This is Akshay Kumar’s second film in the year with the Darshan’s after Bewaafa with Dharmesh Darshan. What repeats along with is the long lip lock after Dharmesh Darshan’s Raja Hindustani.

The film is another romantic story of sorts. In the lead are Akshay Kumar, Amisha Patel and Karishma Kapoor. Others in the cast include Gulshan Grover, Ashish Vidyarthi, Maya Alagh and Alok Nath. The love triangle has the base of music and music industry. The movie is much delayed as per its schedule.

The story unfolds...

Vicky (Akshay Kumar) is an upcoming music talent. He is on the threshold of his career and aspires to make it big someday. He is in love with Anjali (Amisha Patel), to whom he reckons to be his music. She is his inspiration and he cannot imagine his life without her. Vicky gets his break with a local music company. At the same time he gets another offer from a Canada based Music Company who will promote Vicky on a larger scale. This makes Vicky break his contract with the local music company. This music company avenges him by attacking him to which Anjali falls a captive and injures herself.

But Vicky has to move to Canada to join this new company. He is reluctant for he doesn’t want to leave his ailing lover in pain. At last he has to comply with Anjali’s pursuance and leaves for Canada. There he comes across Natasha (Karisma Kapoor), the proprietress of the company he works with. She backs Vicky for the shows and moulds his career with name, fame and recognition. Natasha takes a liking for him. Though Vicky still love Anjali, yet he gets involved with Natasha physically. Vicky is in a fix for Anjali is his inspiration whereas Natasha has worked towards his success.

The twist in the tale erupts when Natasha unveils her love for him from her college days, as they were classmates.  She has regained back her lost love and doesn’t want to loose him. She becomes extremely possessive regarding him. It’s Vicky who is sailing in both the boats at a time and will have to make a choice soon. Whom does he go for?
