Sunil Shrivastava (Suniel Shetty) is the ideal son of a freedom fighter (Pran). His father has fought for Indian independence against the British rule. He has been brought up on his principles, who taught him what slavery meant as he had undergone it himself. Sunil comes to Bombay from Allahabad to study law as he wants to fulfill his ambition of becoming a lawyer and fight for the justice of the people.

It doesn’t take him long to understand that here law is sold at the hands of the powerful and the rich and the case always favors them whereas the poor section of the society are always deprived of justice and are the losers. With a brave and bold heart he decides that he would singularly fight the system. He becomes for the common man a savior called ‘Ek Hindustani’. His revolt brings about a revolution. He becomes the idol of the people, with the poor worshipping him and the children wanting to become like him. People raise their head and begin living a life without fear. Sunil wants people in the country to be brave and fight for their rights. He wants to banish cowardice.
