A recent survey had suggested that maximum number of divorces happen in Kerala and most of the couples get separated due to very small reasons mainly ego problems. Paranju Theeratha Visheshangal has a similar theme, of a couple getting separated and their emotional turmoils.
Vijayalakshmi (Lakshmi Gopalaswamy) and Rajeev (Suresh Gopi) had a love marriage and everyone including neighbours and friends envied their life. But somewhere down the lane misunderstandings happen between them and they decide to get divorced. The divorce came through after both of them filed a petition at the family court and after six months of separation and counselling they legally got separated. Their daughter Anu was under mother’s custody till eight years.
But after two years they meet once again and become good friends. They even tell each other about the proposals that came for them during this period. Vijayalakshmi tells Rajeev that she would get married soon and settle in US. The film is an adaptation of a novel by E.V. Sreedharan. The script and screenplay is by Kaloor Dennis and Harikumar is the director.
The cast also has Manya, Janardhanan, Sukumari, Devan and Geeta Nair. The film is produced by St Antony Films and cameraman is Sanjeev Shankar. M.Jayachandran tunes the songs written by Yusefeli Kechery.
