Cinema works as the escapism factor from the world of reality to entertainment. But entertainment has changed its meaning though, with the movies of recent time getting constricted under the proclaimed formula of either the two elements, action or sex. And Vikram Bhatt, who is miserably in need of a hit, intends to follow the same track. Elaan, his forthcoming movie, is an action packed thriller with some fresh pairs, good entertainment and not to miss out Mithun Charaborty. His comeback, with Elaan is definitely the USP of the movie. Rahul Khanna also takes a break from parallel cinema to head for the mainstream with this.

Other than Mithun and Rahul Khanna, this Ratan Jain production stars John Abraham, Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta and Amisha Patel. This is for the first time that Vikram Bhatt and Venus Films have come together in movie frame. The shooting seems like a global spree as it starts off from picturesque locations of Mumbai, moves on to Goa, Venice, and concludes in Munich. Anu Malik and Sameer have incorporated the music.

To cut the long story short, Baba Sikander (Mithun) is a new goon in the block. He is a terrorist who does notorious acts like extortion, drugs, murder, kidnapping, like any other terrorist. His dread strikes panic and fear irrespective of power and locality. The only way to survive is to comply him. The Indian police is in search of him and also the heroes!

Karan Shah (Rahul Khanna) confronts him and declares to annihilate him. Arjun (Arjun Rampal) a terminated police officer, Abhimanyu (John Abraham) a petty criminal, Priya (Amisha Patel) a television journalist, and Sonia (Lara Dutta) a bar dancer, join him as camaraderie to seize the terrorist for their revolt against violence and crime in general. All of them have their subjective reason. What follows is - adventure, thrill and zest!

Much of action dominates the scenes and that’s why action has been suitably taken care of by Abbas Ali Moghul. He has done scenes comparable to Hollywood, its been said. Musical score is also interesting. The film is slated for a January 14 release. So with all the things going right for Elaan, we can only hope for the best!
