Movie Review : Koduku (2004)

Director: MS Narayana
Cast: Suman,Vikram,Mounika,Adithi Agarwal
Music: Saran

This is the story of a happy-go-lucky young man who suddenly transforms into this revenge machine. The film’s story begins with Vikram as a young college student who goes about flirting with two other students, Aditi Agarwal and Mounika. Then comes the bitter flashback.

Vikram’s father Suman runs a wrestling school in a village. He himself is a wrestling champion. During a local competition, the villain, Rajan P Dev gets him to bet all his property for a championship fight. The villain then uses some unfair means, gets Suman to fight with a hired fighter and defeats him. As per the bet, Suman leaves all his property to Rajan P Dev and is banished from the village for 10 years.

During the 10 years, Vikram’s sister gets killed and now it is upto Vikram to take revenge on the villain and his men. Of course, he does it successfully and in style.

The Good- Maybe we should appreciate Vikram’s courage in appearing with a clean shaven head in his very first film. Prakashraj’s character is very interesting too though it doesn’t last long.

The heroines- both just cant act at all!

Larger than life images of the hero and the villain. Annoying.
