The story is of a calm person who maintains composure only till he is provoked by the antisocial elements to assume monstrous proportions and destroy them. Now that NTR has been to Trivandrum and Mumbai for his previous two movies, he decided that he will be in Karaikkudi for this one. 

For NTRjr this becomes an important movie, more because of the failure of 'Andhrawala'. He would be wary not to hype this movie beyond measure. Bhoomika and Aarthi Agarwal are the heroines both of whom had a wonderful last year and wanting to repeat it this year.
 
Music is composed by Manisharma and is expected to be good. More because of the response of VV Vinayak to critcism that he had a bad music taste following a disappointing show in 'Tagore'.

There were many changes to the original cast in the movie. Prakashraj who was the main villain originally was replaced by shaayaji shinde.

The original choice for the heroine's role was Kareena kapoor, but she dropped off in the last minute due to some strange reason. Bhoomika landed the role after many tentative choices.
