Actor Manikandan, who featured as one of the heroes in director Shankar's Boys, is currently playing the lead the a movie Kadhal FM. The movie being directed by V Jayaprakash is about the romance between a radio jockey working with a FM radio channel and a college girl.
 
Arvind Shankar, who scored the music for the song Yamini Yamini in Hey Nee Romba Azhaga Irukae produced by GV Films and directed by Vasanth, will be scoring the music for Kadhal FM.

Shivani Singh, a native of Delhi, is being introduced as a heroine.

According to Jayaprakash, Kadhal FM revolves around the life of radio jockey. Manikandan, who falls in love with a regular caller to his phone-in programme. When he goes to express his love, he fears that his stature and looks might prevent him from getting her nod for the affair.

The rest of the movie is about how he expresses his love to her and whether they unite or not.

Produced by SVM Productions, the movie has Karunas playing an important role. The movie is being shot in and around Chennai and would be released soon.
