Kunchacko Boban and Navya Nair are in the lead roles of movie Jalothsavam being produced under the banner of Great Movie Entertainment. Sibi Malayil is the director and Shyam Jayan is the producer.

Geetha(Navya) is an orphan who works hard day and night to save money for her marriage. Chandran (Kunchacko) is from Aalackal Chandran family who lived once in great splendour. Aalackal family tries hard to keep their reputation intact in the village. Geetha and Chandran are lovers but keep their love under their chest due to their diverse family background. But, a time comes when Geetha has to come out open about their love.

A song sequence was shot in the beautiful locations of Pulikunnu, Kainakari, Chambakulam and Nedumudi in Kuttanad. The other casts of the film include Nedumudi Venu, Sujatha, Riyaz Khan, Jagathy, Jagadhish and Machaan Varghese among others.

Alphonse Josheph composed music for the lyrics of Prasad and Vayalar Sharat Chandra Varma. Venugopal is taking care of cinematography.
