This is a film worth watching for many reasons- you don’t need big names to make a film run.
4 young college kids, who had been affected by social injustice decide to fight corruption the Robin Hood way. They weren’t robbing the rich to help the poor, but, their style of fighting was simple- chop the limbs of corrupt government officials and anti social activists. Their ideology is simple- if you kill them, everybody else feels sorry for them. So, let them live in pain.
They do this by running a website in which people who were affected could send in their complaints by mail. Soon, the police is made aware of these activities and they begin to hunt these young men down. Finally, in a confrontation with the police, the film ends.
The film is running packed houses not for its action or choreography, but for its music. Jassie Gift has made an impressive mark with this film. You need to watch the film in the theatre to see the kind of frenzy the song ‘Lajjavathiyae’ drives the audience. Amazing!!!
Another good thing about the film is the fact that lot of research has gone into the film. There are films in Tamil in which the hero types texts on a Windows Media Player screen. But, in this film, there is no such noticeable absurdity.
The Good- Fabulous Music, editing, fast pace, excellent cinematography, the length of the film and just about everything.
The Bad- Bharat hasn’t been able to gel with the rest of the gang. Choreography is not that good though you don’t notice it due to the excellent cinematography by RD Rajashekar.
