After the waging war since the independence, India and Pakistan are now extending their hand of friendship towards each other. And its good to see that the common passion that both these countries share, that is cricket, is becoming a mode of it.  The governments of the countries were enthusiastic about the Goodwill cricket match to be organized at Srinagar. But the organizations who are not very happy with this, the terrorists have issued threats to blow the stadium if match happens in Srinagar. So the highest order security force guarded the event.

This film is set in the milieu of this event. It begins with the blast in Srinagar at a place close to the stadium. Indian wants the match to happen but the Pakistan withdraws from it. Aparna Sen (Sonali Kulkarni) a reporter is handed the responsibility to do the coverage of the event by traveling with the team. The Indian Cricket Board have cancelled the three-day camp in Mumbai waiting to hear something from the government as they solve the matter with Pakistan. While deciding on the team the selection committee selects an unknown player, Siddarth Srivastav (Alekh Sangal). Siddarth’s family is happy about it and the media covers the rising star. Siddarth enters the camp and makes friend with all there and especially with the coach Ivan Rodrigues (Tom Alter). He learns many things from his senior. But the events take a different turn when a government official holds a special meeting with the captain (Salil Ankola). The captain then addresses the team and convinces them not to sledge or to appeal hard. This attitude shocks the boys, as they know that India-Pakistan match are very aggressive. All feel that it’s match fixing, but don’t tell about it. On the other side of the border the Pakistan team had agreed to play the match now.

Siddarth approaches the captain for talks about match fixing but he avoids him. In Srinagar the rift in the team becomes obvious. Inspector Victor Anthony (Arif Zakaria) is handed over with the task to take care of the security and though he hates cricket he does his job. The film awaits many questions to be answered – what is the fate of the match and what is the fate of Siddarth? Is there a match fixing? What is in store for Inspector Victor Anthony and Aparna Sen? Find it out in Silence Please... It's the dressing room.
