‘Kaun Hai Jo Sapno Mein Aaya’ the name of the film sounds romantic but the premise narrates about a mismatched joint family with a new member entering and all are trying to bond with each other. It is a romantic tragedy produced by Vibha Ragani under Inspired Movies Ltd. and is directed by Rajesh Bhatt. Essaying pivotal roles in the film are Rakesh Bapat, Richa Pallod, Anupam Kher, Kader Khan and many others.
The story is about an orphaned Indian girl Mahek (Richa Pallod) who’s suffering from severe heart disease. She goes to UK in the last hope of treatment to save her life. She opts to live there with an Indian Khanna family who had been residing there since the last three generations and have been heavily influenced by western lifestyle and culture, until her uncle Dr. Verma (Anupam Kher) returns from America. Kuldeep Khanna (Kader Khan) and his mother are the only people who have held Indian tradition in their heart. His family comprises Harry and Sunny (Rakesh Bapat), daughter Dolly and grandchild Sweety. Nobody knows about her ailing state there and the youngest son of the family falls in love with her. But she tries to evade him and not fall in love with him, as she knows that her life is very short. The family is touched by her traditions and beliefs and rediscovers their original Indian ethics from her. Hope and renewal fill their life as she tries again to bond them together.
The film speaks in volumes about the Indian culture, tradition and values that has somewhere gone lost in this family of London. It is a family drama with happiness and sadness, moments of joy and grief, relationship that turns sweet from sour and vice versa. There are funny moments to enjoy and there are emotional sequences as well. The film has music by Nikhil-Vinay and Sameer pens the lyrics.
