Movie Preview : 'Asambhav' promises chilling action

Producer: Gulshan Rai
Director: Rajiv Rai
Cast: Arjun Rampal, Priyanka Chopra, Mohan Agashe, Tom Alter, Mukesh Rishi, Milind Gunaji, Shawar Ali, Arif Zakaria
Music: Viju Shah

"Asambhav", which will be released in July, promises to be an espionage film full of action.

It is Arjun Rampal's first action film. It will showcase the actor and Priyanka Chopra together for the first time. And it is an espionage story that takes birth in Locarno in Switzerland.

The story is about a high-ranking Indian diplomat, played by Mohan Agashe, being kidnapped along with his daughter Kinjal (Dipanita Sharma) while holidaying in Switzerland.

The abduction is the work of a master criminal Ansari (Milind Gunaji). Planning a conspiracy of international dimensions, Ansari hires the Mabros Mercenaries (Shawar Ali and gang) to kidnap the diplomat and his daughter. The hostages are kept at the Brissago Islands.

What Ansari has in mind is to exchange the diplomat for Yuzan (Mukesh Rishi), the head of an international terrorist group.

The army then decides to send Captain Aadit Arya (Arjun) on an undercover mission (code named Asambhav) to Switzerland to investigate the situation and to bring the diplomat back safely.

This is apparently the first Bollywood film to be shot in Locarno and, that too, for 65 days consecutively. With the entire film being digitalised and seven cameras rolling simultaneously, no duplicates have been used while recording.

Though Rajiv Rai denies being inspired by the Hollywood hit "Mission Impossible", he claims the movie is very much made in the same style as top action films in the West.

Also, for the first time audiences will get to see Priyanka in an action and not in a romantic role. Arjun too is set to rock people as an action hero.
