Audio Review : Nenunnanu (2004)

Direction: VN. Aditya
Cast: Nagarjuna, Shreya, Subbaraju,Aarti Agarwal
Music: Keeravani
Lyrics: Chandrabose
Singers: Chitra, Tippu, Sunitha, Shreya Ghoshal, Arnob Chakravarthy

Nagarjuna is really standing out in high spirits with his hits lined up in a row. Santosham, Manmadhudu, Sivamani. Another name to be added soon is Nenunnanu.

The movie casts Shreya, Subbaraju & Aarti Agarwal and is to be directed by VN. Aditya.Keeravani is doing the music. When you hear the name Keeravani, the buzzword is melody. Surveillance through his work highlights his potentialities and hallmark. He has lent some melodious tunes to Nag before. This time too, unfailingly he does so.

And the very first song gives an insight into it. Only Tippu and Chitra could’ve sung ‘Ettago Unnadi’ so energetically. The catchy zeal gives a lot of mileage to the song. The composition is simple and the orchestration is very nicely put together. This is Keeravani’s territory and he makes the song a winner.

The next track ‘Nenunnanani’ has a nice feel to it and interesting lyrics make it a frontrunner. The song is done in the voices of Keervani and Sunitha. The composition has a charming note of its own. But what steals the show is the lyric by Chandrabose. He has penned some heart rendering lyrics.

Tippu and Sunitha breeze through ‘Ryali Ravulupadu’, an infectious number with a lot of jazz. The singers set the mood right with their perfect note and splendid diction. A bit of boogie will set it for you!

‘Intha Dooram’ is also a lovely number in the voice of Shreya Ghoshal and Tippu. The music arrangement with trademark beat goes in the favor of the song. It’s also a lyrical gem in all respect.

Chitra renditions are also praiseworthy in E Shwasalo. The serenity and somberness in her voice is apt for this semi-classical number. It is a supposedly a situational track.

New to the scene are the singers Arnob Chakravarthy and Shreya Ghosal. But it’s hard to account to the fact keeping in mind their diction. The melody has also been retained in full faith.

To sum up, the music is one of the potential strength of the movie. It is a great album and each and every track fit in perfectly. The effort is appreciable, the music complimentary and the outcome is terrific.
