The plot begins with a young man Suraj (Arjun Rampal) who lives in the beautiful town of Dalhousie. A pretty damsel Kiran (Diya Mirza) comes on a visit and decides to explore the place. Her exploration comes to an abrupt end when she sights Suraj and its love at first sight. Now before the lovesome two-some can exchange love vows, the holiday comes to an end and the two parts.

Suraj's dad (Om Puri) gets transferred to the girl's town. They meet again and love blossoms. When Kiran's daddy Chaudhary Randhir Singh (Vinod Khana) comes to know of the relationship, all terror breaks lose. Now this is one old man in the town who does not like Suraj. So he decides to give Suraj 30 days to leave town. Suraj is an adamant fellow and Kiran's love wont go waste. To emphasis the point, he daringly tells Randhir Singh that Kiran is his Dewaanapan. In the end, love triumphs over all.
