Suresh Wadkar was one of the frontline singers of the industry sometimes back and has delivered many hits to the Hindi film industry. But his career couldn’t take to scaling heights and with the emergence of new singers he left his position. Offers stopped flowing in but his talent was not diminished. He took to promotional jingles and it was sad to hear his voice there instead of films.

After many years now he has decided to make a comeback of sorts. But now it is not as a singer but as a composer. With ‘Dil Churaya Aap Ne’ he turns to composing. Rani Malik, Dev Kohli and Naqsh Lyallpuri have penned these lyrics.

The music of the film is nothing extra ordinary and hardly evokes anything interesting. The only that goes to his credit is that he has made the music with good classical base and folk tunes. Another good aspect of the soundtrack is that it offers lot of variety.

‘Ding dong’ sung by Aditya Narayan caters to children. Udit Narayan and Kavita Krishnamurthy go for the romantic duet ‘O sundari’. Suresh Wadkar returns behind the mike with ‘Jine tha’ and Alka Yagnik supports him ably. Next ‘Tere badle’ is a frothy Punjabi number rendered by Kavita Krishnamurthy and Kumar Sanu. Sukhvinder Singh impresses in his Sufiana styled rendition for ‘Zindagi ek paheli’. ‘Kartik punam’ by Rekha Bharadwaj is a folk styles number. Other numbers like ‘Ye hai Mumbai nagari’ by Kavita Krishnamurthy and Udit Narayan and ‘Ude rang’ by Anuradha Paudwal are nothing much to write about.
