Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Company’ is a gritty and intense take on the underworld only in dark and brooding pictures, and has no traces of flashy things whatsoever that we have encountered in many Bollywood underworld films in the past. The film is on the line of his ‘Satya’ and presents a convincing tale.

A young guy Chandu (Vivek Oberoi) is brought up in the slums by his mother (Seema Biswas). Chandu strives towards wealth and fame and this leads him to the doors of Malik (Ajay Devgan) who introduces him to crime. Begins their journey through crime and murder that creates havoc all around. Malik gets into an affair with street-smart Saroja (Manisha Koirala) and Chandu falls in love with Kannu (Antara Mali). With money and power at hand they shift their base from Mumbai to Hong Kong. Their associates take care of the work in Mumbai. They do well and give company to each other until a rift between them breaks their bond of friendship. Both turn bitter enemy of each other and Chandu who has lived in Malik’s shadow in the past decides to build his own company. The rift soon culminates into an international gang war, with their families and they as well leading to the doom.
