‘Chalo Ishq Ladaye’ is an outright Govinda movie. Rani Mukherjee plays his love interest. Himesh Reshammiyya is the music director while Sameer pens the lyrics. There are seven tracks in this album. Most of them are funny and time pass numbers.
The album starts in a playful mood with the song ‘Masti Masti’. Sonu and Alka enhance this fun loving track with their lively rendition.
Next comes a wedding song ‘Tujhko Hi Mein Dulhan Banaonga’. The same pair Alka and Sonu sings this one also.
Once again Sonu and Alka team up for the title track ‘Chalo Ishq Ladaye’. This song is flashed all over the media as a part of movie’s promotion. Both the singers try their best to succeed and as a result we get to listen to a nice musical track. This rhythmic number is a complete entertainer.
When you hear this song ‘Ab Pyaar Kare Bindaas’ you can imagine Govinda matching his steps to this tune. Sonu Nigam croons this track in his ‘bindaas style’. This song is not for those who try to find meanings in the lyrics. This is a total time pass track picturised on Govinda.
‘Pyaar Ka Fanda’ is a nice track where the singer philosophies on life in a funny vein. This time Kavita Krishnamurthy joins Sonu for the rendition. Sameer carefully chooses rhyming words to make the song more appealing.
‘Pote Ko Dulhan Banaongi’ is a song sung by the granny of the lead cast who announces the fixing of her grandson’s marriage. Subha Joshi and Sonu Nigam croon this shorty. This one does not have a major impact on the listeners as it just comes and goes in a flash.
The last number of this album is a remixed version of ‘Masti Masti’. But the remix fails to excite like the original. On the whole Himesh Reshammiyya has come out with a number of enjoyable tracks. These songs may find a place in the chartbuster list. The pick of the lot is ‘Pyaar Ka Fanda’ and the title track ‘Chalo Ishq Ladaye’. Give an ear to this funny Govinda tracks.
