Kuku Kohli who has delivered hits like 'Phool Aur Kaante' and 'Suhaag' gets into actiuon once again with 'Yeh Dil Aashiqana'. Aroona Irani is the producer who last produced 'Anari No. 1'. The film has in the lead Karan Rakeshnath who debuted with ‘Paagalpan’. The musical score is by Nadeem Shravan. The scores have the warmth like their earlier works though it doesn’t mean that the songs appear like a rehash of their former composition. However the songs appear like their typical composition of the 90's. Lyrics by Sameer also sound good.

Kumar Sanu begins the proceedings with 'Jab se Main'. He sings the majority songs of the album five out of the nine numbers. The album can be said as his comeback vehicle. He leaves his mark with this soft number.

There is another version of the song. 'Jab Se Dil' begins the sweet voice of new singer Sarika Kapoor. It is a solo song and she beams with mirth and life like the actress of the film. With similar kinds of beats and melody its is another typical NS composition.

The title song 'Yeh Dil Aashiqana' has a good rhythm that catches your attention instantly. Sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik the song has all the elements to get popular. The song is full of life and the lively musical arrangement by Nadeem Shravan just makes it better. There is another version of the song done by Shaan and Jividha. It is a jazzier version and both the singers are at their best here.

‘Utha Le Jayunga’ is a typical Nadeem Shravan number which makes its mark with the sound of ghungroo and clap effect. The hit combination of Kumar Sanu and Anuradha Paudwal getr back with this number. It is a likeable track.

They go ahead for the next song 'Dhak Chik Dana', evoking fun all the way.

Udit Narayan comes behind the mike with 'College Ki Ladkiyan'. But sadly this turns ti be the worst track of the album. It is a routine campus song that you’ve heard umpteen times before. The song desperately need better lyrics and composition.

Next is the Qawali 'Allah Allah' typical of Sabri Brothers style. Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik and Tausif Akhtar join them. It moves with good pace and turns to be a good number.

'I Am In Love' is a melodious duet by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik. It’s a soft and pleasant number that makes the air romantic.

This album can’t be touted as Nadeem Shravan's best as they have delivered many big hits in the past. But they are in good form in this album. They have out good efforts in the music and it can be noticed. It’s infused with Indian music and is immensely likeable.
