Audio Review : Sssshhh - Anu Malik on work again!

Producer: Cinevista
Director: Pavan S Kaul
Cast: Tanisha, Karan Rakeshnath, Dino Morea
Music: Anu Malik
Singers: Adnan Sami, Alka Yagnik, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, Shaan,

Finally Tanisha, younger sibling of Kajol, arrives quietly to the movie world with the Cinevista production ‘Sssshhh’. This murder mystery also marks the debut of director Pavan S Kaul. Other than Tanisha this movie stars Karan Rakeshnath and Dino Morea. Anu Malik and Sameer come together for the music.

The album starts with ‘Tera Mera Dil’. Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik lend their vocals to this typical Anu Malik romantic track. Even lyricist Praveen Bharadwaj treads the regular path. So nothing new about this track. Yet, it falls soft on your ears and you seem to enjoy this soft musical composition.

‘Mohabbat Mein Hai’ is just the opposite. This is a high quality original track from Anu Malik. Shaan croons this in his usual high-spirited manner. On the whole this fast moving rhythmic number is a joy to hear. Good choreography and nice picturisation may take it a long way forward. Keep your finger crossed guys!

Anu Malik juggles with music here. First he comes up with an average song and the very next moment he scores a high quality song. May be his music depends lot on his mood. ‘Jab Mere Dil’ is composed when he is in one of his off moods. So it lacks the freshness and originality of the previous track. Still this Sonu Nigam rendition is not a complete no no. It is a fine track to hum around.

Next arrives ‘Sapney’ a complete entertainer. This free flowing song falls softly on your ears. A nice, energetic track in the voice of Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik. Yogesh’s lyrics too go well with the zippy mood of the song. On the whole a good, youthful composition that completely bowls you over.

Fortunately for Anu Malik this album ends in a positive note. He has kept his best for the end. The last song ‘Ishq Da Maara Hai’ is the best of this album. Sung by Miss Energetic Sunidhi Chauhan this Punjabi flavored track is sure to fire up the musical charts. Sukhwinder Singh adds spice to this track. With nice choreography and picturisation this Dev Kohli creation will surely find its place in the heart of the music buffs.

In short, the music of ‘Sssshhh’ provides us with more than what we expected. In a suspence thriller movie like this people’s concentration are more on the story than the songs. But Anu Malik has come up with such a fantastic music that moviegoers will not stop listening to these tracks. On the whole a nice attempt from the music director Anu Malik and lyricists.
