Directed by Raghavendra Rao this movie revolves around three middle class couples who struggle to make their ends meet. Himesh Reshammiyya is in full control of this funny musical album. Penned by Sudhakar Sharma these lyrics can be termed as typical Govinda numbers. Nonsensical to the chore these songs capture the imagination of the masses.

A celebration track ‘Aaye Diwali’ opens up the proceedings of the album. Crooned by a bunch of singers including Udit Narayan, Kumar Shanu, Shaan, Alka Yagnik, Sneha Pant and Ketki Dave this song is an absolute situational number. With its energetic feel it may grab the attention of the ordinary music buffs.

Then comes the title track ‘Aamdani Aatthanni Kharcha Rupaiya’. Johnny Lever, Shaan and Udit Narayan come behind the mike for this humorous number. A description of the day-to-day problems of the average middle class population, this highly comical track looks like a scene from an Hrishikesh Mukherjee comedy flick. With its funny lyrics and humorous picturisation this song may go high up in the popularity ladder.

Next track ‘Ta Thaiya Ta Thaiya’ is a naughty track depicting the clash between the two sexes. Sung beautifully by Pinky and Preeti this song may capture the hearts of the masses. As usual the lyrics are funny and mostly ridiculous. Just check out how the inseparable bonding of man and woman are described in these Sudhakar Verma lines. ‘Tum Chai Ho To Mein Pyaali, Tum Rail Ho To Hum Patri Hai’ who else can give such a simple and easily understandable examples, that too straight from our daily life. Good work Sudhakar Sharma.

The same lyrical style is followed right through the next three tracks. First one ‘Sajaniya Re’ has nothing much to boast of in respect to musical variety. Sung by Babul Supriyo and Sunidhi Chauhan the song goes like this ‘Sajaniya Re Chad Gaya Pyaar Tathaiyya, Uttare Naa Utare Re’. What is your take on these silly yet enjoyable lines? It is not really meant for the classy music buffs. But the real Govinda fans, the working masses, may enjoy it.

Now let us go to the next humorous song ‘Style Nasha Tera’. The effervescent Udit Narayan joins Babul Supriyo and Sunidhi for this track. A typical Govinda track this may go well with the masses. Once again Sudhakar Sharma comes up with a nice and nonsensical lyric. Give an ear to these lines ‘Nasha Tera Sar Chadkar Bola, Khul Gayi Dil Ki File’.

Even the last track follows the same mood.  Composed as a tapori track, innocent energy oozes through these silly and simple lines. ‘Chori Chori Tera Chalna’ has Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik behind the mike. The lines read like this ‘ Tera Chalna Item Hai, Tera Rukna Item Hai’. So just take your eyes off the lyrics and enjoy the music and its energetic beats.

In conclusion there is nothing great about this album. But those who love the simple and unsophisticated energy of Govinda numbers can enjoy this album. Don’t give heed to the lyrics. Just enjoy the vibrant musical beats.
