The name of the film may sound familiar to you, for these were the words of a hit song in Dulhe Raja, a Harmesh Malhotra film, in which Govinda and Raveena starred. The star cast repeats again in this Harmesh Malhotra’s film. The music is by a bunch of musicians like Anand Milind, Anand Raaj Anand, Daboo Malik, Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen. Three lyricists Sameer, Dev Kohli and Nitin Raikwar have been piled to pen the words.  Govinda’s songs have always been a rage among the masses. How much the expectation is met, let’s find out!

The album begins with ‘Gore Tan Se Sarakta Jaye’ with Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik crooning the much needful. Sonu Nigam has given a justified effort keeping in mind the style of Govinda. The song is a Punjabi folk based item number, with catchy lyrics but with down-the-mill composition.

Anand Raaj Anand composes a peppy track ‘Akkh Jo Tujh Se Lad Gayi Re’. Sonu Nigam and Jaspinder Narula sing it to just as they could. The composition is bland and it fails to create the much-expected spark.

Another Punjabi track to follow is ‘Rabba O Rabba’. Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik render this one. Music by Anand-Milind and lyric by Dev Kohli merge well making the track by far better than what we were going through before. This track is possibly the best in the album too.

‘Dehradun Ka Chuna Lagaya’ is in totality a Govinda type track to entertain his fans. Vinod Rathod has done a favorable job rendering a song that suited Govinda best. Sunidhi Chauhan accompanies him. The lyrics by Salim Bijori and music by Daboo Malik doesn’t go along to make the song a great one for the listeners.

Vinod Rathod re-appears with Alka Yagnik for ‘Ladka Mud Mud Ke Maare’. This tapori song also meets the dust with groundless and customary composition by Anand-Milind and Sameer.

The album doesn’t get better even with the next track ‘O Chhori Gori Gori’ with Jaspinder Narula and Sonu Nigam. The song goes ahead being a teasing episode between a girl and a boy, and such numbers are predominant in a Govinda starrer. But this time it turns off rather than to entertain.

Another momentum-based track is ‘Thumka Lagake Naacho’. This is a qawaali sung by Vinod Rathod, Sonu Nigam and Sanjeevani with an opening interlude by Johny Lever.
Lyrics are by Nitin Raikwar and the music by Dilip and Sameer Sen. The song fails to have a shake.

Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik close the album with ‘Maine Tujhe Dekha’ a pacy song. It is stale enough to linger with you.

Akhiyon Se Goli Maare is a very bad episode in terms of music. There is not a single decent track to make it audible. The group of composers and lyricist hardly make an impact. It’s unbearable to sit through the tracks and gulp them. The masses who cherish these kind of tracks, will have to go back disappointed. Too many cooks have really spoiled the broth!
