Sagar Chauhan (Sunil Shetty) heads a special protection unit and provides 'Z' category security to VVIPs. He saves Sessions Court judge from the attack of Jabbar (Shahbaaz Khan) and Dhanraj (Pramod Moutho) as a part of his duty. His close friend, Gopal Pande (Shehzad Khan) requests him to meet s business tycoon, Pratap Rai (Danny). Pratap gives him the job to keep an eye on his mentally depressed wife Meenal Rai (Raveena Tandon). Meenal has lost interest in life after the death of her father. She has attempted to kill herself and so Pratap has confined to the four wall of his estate. Sagar refuses the job at first but on being persuaded agrees to do it.

He guards her secretly and also saves her from committing suicide. Gradually they become friends. Meenal starts falling in love with him as she discovers the sensitive and a caring side of him. But Sagar is shocked to hear about her feelings and doesn’t know what to do. Meenal once again gets depressed and commits suicide. The news shatters Sagar.

Lobo Fernandes (Sadashiv Amrapurkar), a retired constable who is a guardian of Sagar takes him to his hometown Goa where Sagar comes across a look alike of Meenal Pari (Raveena Tandon). Sagar feels that she is Meenal but Pari proves she is not. He takes her to Pratap Rai who also feels that she his wife. Sagar gets involved in the mystery.
