Audio Review : Aap Mujhe Ache Lagne Lage - A beautiful album to romance your heart

Producer: Rohit Kumar
Director: Vikram Bhatt
Cast: Amisha Patel, Hrithik Roshan
Music: Rajesh Roshan
Singers: Abhijeet, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam, Pamela Jain

After the super duper hit ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ Amisha Patel and Hrithik Roshan will movie buffs. Hope this Rohit Kumar production succeeds in sustaining the interest of the moviegoers. Once again Rajesh Roshan scores music for his cousin Hrithik whereas Ibrahim Ashq and Dev Kohli pen the lyrics.

This album starts in a great note with the Alka Yagnik, Abhijeet number ‘Tum To Sagar Jaisi’. This soft and melodious track takes you with it. Both the singers have contributed immensely for the success of this number. Lyrics written by Ibrahim Ashq needs a special mention.

Next track ‘We Wish You a Great Life’ comes nowhere close to the first track. In this track friends and relatives of the pair are celebrating the success of their love.

But unfortunately the music and lyrics fails to portray the mood perfectly. Praveen Bharadwaj’s lyrics are pathetic. So is Rajesh Roshan’s music. Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurthy and debutant Jack try in vain to infuse life in to this track.

‘Kuch Hum Mein Aisi Baat Hai’ is a youthful track that instills faith and confidence in a doubting heart. Sung by Sonu Nigam it tells you to take on life with confidence and win the world for you.

Udit Narayan and Pamela Jain rendition ‘O Re Gori’ takes you through the time. Beginning like an old Dilip Kumar track this song suddenly changes its gear to reach the new yuppie age. Within seconds this droopy black and white track gives way to a trendy dance number.

Next track of this album is for those who love to see Hrithik Roshan dance. ‘Hindaru Pindaru’ an outright dance number has him demonstrating his dancing ability. This funny track has a definite old world charm that sweeps you off your feet. Once this song starts flowing we cannot hold back the urge to swing our legs.

Now comes the theme track. This instrumental track is a short version of the title song. Even then it impresses you with its class.

‘Meri Jaan’ is composed on the line of Hollywood background music. It gathers its inspiration from the instrumental piece of the title track. Alka Yagnik and Kavita Krishnamurthy lend their voice to this Dev Kohli lyric.

This beautiful album ends with a motivational track ‘Hawaone Yeh Kaha’. Udit Narayan and chorus urge us to live our life to the fullest and enjoy each and every moment of life and love. A nice and soft track this one woos you with its simplicity and sweetness.

To sum up, music of this Hrithik –Amisha starrer comes nowhere close to that of their first movie together ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’. Even though it may fail to become the craze of the nation, it has the ability to sustain itself for months to come.
