‘Andaaz’ is the forthcoming release of Shree Krishna International, to be produced by Suneel Darshan and directed by Raj Kanwar. The star cast includes Akshay Kumar and the two beauty queens Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra. Apart from the aid of beauty, the movie decorates itself with composition by Nadeem-Shravan and lyrics by Sameer. When everything is falling in place, we look forward for a good time.
Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik who has given out many romantic hit formerly, pair together again for the first song ‘Kisi Se Tum Pyaar Karo’. The track has the vintage Nadeem-Shravan feel. It sounds good with pleasing composition and fine rendition.
Melody flows again with ‘Kitna Pagal Dil Hai’ in the vocals of Kumar Sanu. Though the composition is regular, the lyrics of Sameer hold onto it. The song repeats again in another version by Alka Yagnik. But sadly it’s not as impressive as the former one.
The next track by Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik ‘Allah Kare Dil Na Lage’ is a vocal bliss and picks up on you as soon as you hear it. The track is soulful and bursts with melody.
With the cadence of bhangra, appears the next track by Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Sapna Mukherjee and newcomer Kailash which is probably a situational track. The rhythm makes it an attention seeker at the first go itself.
'Aayega Maza Ab Barsaat Ka' is a qawaali by Babul Supriyo and Alka Yagnik. A qawaali is predominant in Nadeem-Shravan album. This goes out to be a good track again.
The other two songs that are just run of the mill are ‘Aaj Khilna Zaroori Hai’ by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik and ‘Shala La Baby’ by Alka Yagnik and Shaan. The songs lack repeat value and are just passable.
For the Nadeem-Shravan fans, the album certainly doesn’t disappoint. Rich in melody, as is their trademark, it is in abundance here too. The tracks though range from good to average and will the keep up to the expectations of music lovers. The team has always delivered their best jointly. This time too our hope lingers with them.
