A dull tale, the story begins on the backdrop of a village and here is Sivankutty (sooraj) who is in a major financial mess. He is being chased by all the debtors and Sivan does his best to keep them away. However, his target is to marry Meenakshi (roopasri), the daughter of his uncle Keshavan (Lalu Alex) who simply hates even the thought of this marriage. Sivan is often accompanied by his other uncle Suresh (innocent) and he is a chronic drunkard. The story takes a turn when Jeevan (sooraj again) enters the village and due to a sequence of events, both Sivan and Jeevan exchange places since they look very much alike. Jeevan happens to be a very rich guy but then he has his own share of problems that Sivan must now encounter. Where all this leads forms the rest of the story.
The director came up with a regular storyline and both presentation and narrative have failed to impress. The dialogues were dull, the script was weak and the screenplay was stale. Music and background score did not impress and cinematography was off the mark. Editing could have been better at few places. Costumes and art department were regular. Sooraj seems to have chosen a wrong choice of story given his image among the audience, Roopasri looked ravishingly beautiful but not much for her character, Innocent was drunk so not much to talk about him, Laloo Alex was standard, Salim Kumar was okay, Bijukuttan was better.
The film has been taken from the million storylines about two people having similar faces and exchanging places. While the first half goes about with some unconvincing comedy, the second half gets even stale and at the end, the audience has nothing to actually look forward to. The film will sink in no time and it is better Suraaj looks at his role and script once again before he takes up another movie.
